Union Rescue Mission

The night after exams, we had the opportunity to stay overnight at the Union Rescue Mission on Skid Row. We helped the set out cots at night. We were supposed to sleep on the roof, but it was rainy so we slept in the board room on the floor. The next morning we served breakfast to the many homeless.

Cosmic Bowling

Friday night there was a SS event where we were sorted into different teams and went bowling as superheroes! It was a lot of fun to dress up and have a good time together. I did not bowl very well, but had a good time nonetheless :).

Camping in Malubu

I had the most wonderful time with some other students camping on the beach. It was a campground literally on the sand by the ocean! We also did some exhausting but breathtaking hiking on the hills right behind the beach. It was tiring and cold at night in tents on the beach, but it was a wonderful time to relax with my friends before midterms!
