One of my favorite days of the year! The Tall in the Saddle Halloween party. Tall in the Saddle is a therapeutic riding program I volunteer with.
It's a very well planned occasion. All the horses get dressed up. This year we had the pony express, Tinkerbell, a bumblebee and the King of Hearts. There are a lot of activities for the kids to do, like the pumpkin ring toss, fishing for skeletons, crushing gravestones with a large smiling pumpkin and others. One of the riders who rode Tinkerbell began to say "fly on" instead of "walk on." ;)
The last part of the night was when they got to ride around the arena with goodie bags and get candy from all the "houses" (volunteers). It is so much fun!
