I wrote this at Cran Hill. Hope you like it! For me it talks about simple pleasures and contentment.
In a heatful summer haze
I met a pony's steadfast gaze
He paused and lifted head from hay
Midstep to see me pass that way
He took the time 'neath evening skies
To spare for me those calm, dark eyes
His eyes had held no trace of fear
Yet he'd not take one more step near
But I could stand content to see
I looked at him and he looked at me
