It's a Musical!

Mom's musical went off really well, which seemed to be a pleasant surprise for her. :) The worse the rehearsal the better the performance has proven itself true to me. She worked really hard with the kids and they did great! Of course, all of my really good pictures were on the Journalism camera at school and today was a snow day, so you may get a blast from the past sometime in January!
Won hee and my friend Rebecca's sister after the performance. There were lots of cookies! Thankfully it was the juniors turn to call for them, set up and clean up!

Another College Visit!?

Another College Visit? Yes. This is visit number five, but this one was with my Careers class. Mrs. Sweet likes to have us see what different colleges look like- commuter, state, private, ect. so we can make more informed decisions. Northwood was nice, but very cold as you can see by the pictures. Excellent architecture and nice dorms. It's no Providence, though. I have realized by visits to state colleges and such that I would certainly feel more at home in a Christian College.

Christmas Humor

My computer teacher, a pastor, introduced me to this site, a little amusement for you. I am fairly sure it's legal to post this on a blog, since it's legal to put them on bulletins.

Christmas at the Cratchits

Christmas at the Cratchits. A Victorian night full of parlor games, period dress and Christmas delights! For those who are thinking I stole a picture of two from another blog of note, I did! A few of my favorite parts; hearing a Christmas Carol read by a very-well-suited-to-the-job lady, hearing British accents all night, the carols (I'm still quite certain they were elves, though people tried to convince me otherwise. Just look at the hats!) and seeing Ebenezer Scrooge himself. :) He was very in character. I hate to sound like a rerun of the Renaissance fair, but I got up the courage to ask him for a picture. He didn't kiss me, but I did get a "Bah Humbug" in the bargain. ;) He told me he wouldn't smile, and he kept his word. I guess you can always count on Scrooge to be Scrooge. All in all it was a good night. A Merry Christmas to all and to all a "Bah Humbug"!

Snow Day!

We were productive with our snow day! Two in a row, how nice is that!? Well, it would have been nicer if it hadn't postponed mother's elementary play, but we'll take what we can get. So before Christmas shopping and homework, we took some family time and built a nativity scene of snowmen, complete with Mary, Joseph, baby in the manger, two shepherds and two sheep. They turned out so cute! Snow does have it's benefits.

Decorating the Church for Christmas

The Church looks so nice for Christmas! And for those who wonder why Dad's ladder is wearing gloves, it's because it was cold. :) jk. It's so it won't scratch the wall.
